Brand Damage: Who's crushing it? Who's not? And a thought on brand.

Brand Damage: Who's crushing it? Who's not? And a thought on brand.

Who's crushing it: X (Twitter)

A couple of weeks ago we pointed out that Twitter had to react to the arrival of Threads or simply stay their course to becoming X.

It turns out they were further along their course than everyone realized.

Elon Musk took to Twitter over the weekend to make the following announcement:

As to be expected, critics and media outlets were skeptical about the news.

While supporters and fans of the platform remain optimistic, or at least curious.

Musk brought further insight to app users on the platform Monday.

While we await the coming changes to the platform, there is no doubt that this is a good move considering the company's position over recent weeks.

Who's not: Fox News

The conservative media giant is under fire after news broke that the company matches employee contributions to various polarizing left-wing organizations.

Among the list include the Satanic Temple, the Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood, and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The news is yet another chink in the armor of FoxNews.

The future of the legacy outlet is more uncertain than ever as their core base is increasingly doubtful about their alignment with the values and directions of the company.

A thought on brand:

An overused and confusing word in the world of brand is community.

To help us all today, I leave you with the words of an entrepreneur who understand the subject really really well.

Friend Don't Let Friends Ruin Their Brand.
