What makes a person great? Before you answer that question, do me a favor. Imagine someone you look up to, someone you admire. Why do you look up to them? Why do they receive your admiration? Is it because of their achievements or something less visible? I would submit that it’s the latter of those two. For example, say the person you picked was Elon Musk. Do you admire him because he builds electric cars, provides internet services to Europe, and sought to buy a media company? Maybe. Chances are you admire him because he embodies a dreamer, remaining curious about what's possible for humanity through technology. Chances are you admire his display of compassion in providing an avenue of communication for people who needed it most. Chances are you admire his willingness to stand up to major tech companies censoring the speech of its users with the nation's political divide ever-widening.
