In the 1980s, spreadsheet software was far from being as ubiquitous as it is today. It was a luxury that only a privileged few could afford. However, as technology advanced and production costs decreased, spreadsheet software became accessible to everyone. The organizations that recognized the efficiency this software brought about thrived in a highly competitive business market, while those that failed to embrace it met their demise. This principle applies to every technological evolution, including the internet, email, and even Bitcoin.
However, in today's world, many entrepreneurs are still shying away from embracing the power of AI when they should be fully embracing it. It's natural to be skeptical about new technology, especially when it has the potential to disrupt job security. When Excel was first introduced, traditional accountants and professionals resisted it, fearing for their own security. But fast forward to 2023, and the opposite is true. Excel has become a fundamental skill that is expected in various industries.
Our brains are wired to resist change and fear the unknown, especially when change is forced upon us. This is known as the law of diffusion of innovation. Unfortunately, the majority of people will not try something new until they see others doing it first. The problem with the "wait and see" mentality is that it prevents us from fully leveraging the exponential benefits that new technology offers when only a few have adopted it.

This technology is leveling the playing field, allowing small teams and solopreneurs to gain immense leverage that was once only available to big firms with ample resources or dedicated marketing agencies. Embrace it, harness its power, and unlock the immense potential it holds for your business.
